About me
Michelle is the Senior Managing Attorney for Right to Counsel at Northwest Justice Project (NJP). In this role, she oversees and supports NJP’s Eviction Prevention Unit, a statewide team of attorneys providing appointed representation to tenants facing eviction. Previously Michelle served as the Directing Attorney at the Tenant Law Center, as a Staff Attorney and later the Directing Attorney at Sexual Violence Legal Services of the YWCA where she provided civil legal assistance to survivors of sexual assault, and as a judicial clerk in the Snohomish County Superior Court. She joined the legal profession after spending several years in social services working with low-income seniors and adults with disabilities, as well as survivors of domestic violence. Michelle received her Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington.
